I was finally able to put aside a day to figure out why this site wasn't serving static files. The problem was in the virtual environment installation. Total rookie mistake. On the bright side, I have now technically completed my first ever Django deployment, entirely on my very own server machine nonetheless. I should be able to deploy future projects with much greater ease.
